On Tuesday, May 18 2010 I posted…

So I’ve decided to quit my weekend, alcohol dependancy, and HTC intake. The drinking I’m sure I’ll still do but only at parties, but the cannabis is gone for good, and I’ll never be taking it again.

LOL I really stuck at that didn’t I C:

fuckyeahtwoandahalfmen:

Guys a big problem in the UK at the moment is the car insurance companies are price fixing for young drivers (aged 17 to 24).

This is a website where people who have been forced to pay this extreme cost can share advice on how to get cheaper insurance, or ask which cars are the best to own, and even discuss how to run your car more efficiently.

A great coder can easily be 50 times more productive than a mediocre one, while bad ones ultimately have negative productivity.

Jon Evans-Why the New Guy Can’t Code

So many people think a “programmer” is a “programmer”  This is where they get fooled with outsourcing.  Fire your 5 developers in the US and move it to 20 developers for the same cost in India.  Except the problem is that your 20 guys in India suck and your business gets leapfrogged by some company run by 2 developers that kick ass.

A good small team of developers can do really incredible things.  Developing code is not a numbers game.

Binary!

We all know what binary is. We know its used for computers and is 1’s and 0’s.

Binary works, that’s why all computers are based on it, and almost 99.9% of electronic devices are too.

Binary and ASSCII, 1 check digit and 7 bits, So with this a 100MB(Obviously massive) text file has a whole 12.5MB being wasted as check digits.

BUT what if you knew that there was an other system of 1’s and 0’s that doesn’t get corrupted as easily, or require any bits as check digits?

Well there is, and its called GRAY CODE.

Also for those who don’t understand the computing part of this, Gray Code uses much less energy than Binary.

So if it’s more efficient (Energy and Storage), why is it not being used?
